Treatments

Inkless stretchmark and scar revision

Inkless micro needling is used to help improve scar texture and pigmentation making them less noticeable.

This treatment works in hand with the body's natural healing processes to improve the appearance of scars and stretchmarks.

These natural processes include:

  • the release of epidermal growth factor

  • increase in the rate of cell turnover and production of new collagen.

  • the release of epidermal growth factor

  • increase in the rate of cell turnover and production of new collagen.

This is the same when skin needling is performed, a small needle is used to cause micro injuries to the skin, resulting in the same cells being released, leading to an improvement in skin appearance.

There are many cosmetic benefits to skin needling, but here at Eskhara Clinic we are focused on the improvements to scars and stretch marks.

Concerns:

  • Pigmentation: Skin needling can help with reducing skin pigmentation, by breaking up and dispersing the skin cells, which have the pigment in making scars less noticeable.

  • Stretch marks: These can be improved as the needling process increases collagen and improves skin laxity, proving an improvement in the appearance of stretch marks.

  • Surgical scars: Can be evidently improved by skin needling, especially if they have an increased texture or have hyperpigmentation.

  • Scar appearance: We can use a serum as well as the micro needling process, which will help the scar become less coloured and raised.

Many scars can be treated including:

  • Breast augmentation

  • Tummy Tuck

  • Arm lift

  • Face lift

  • C section

  • And other surgical and injury scars.

The treatment can improve the texture and pigmentation, as well as size of the scar. For the skin needling, the scar needs to be more than 6 months old before the treatment can start and the number of treatments may vary depending on the scar's appearance and response to treatment. Healing time can also vary between 4-12 weeks depending on your skin type.

Scar and stretch mark camouflage

The cosmetic tattooing can cover up existing scars to give them a more natural appearance, making you more confident in your skin.

  1. In the first visit we will discuss want you want to achieve regarding your scars and what products are available at the clinic to aid this process, as well as time to complete and cost. Usually for the complete look 2-3 sessions may be needed, but can vary for each individual.

  2. We will also do a skin colour match to ensure the exact colour pigment is used for skin type, after the procedure a colour perfect visit will also be offered to ensure complete satisfaction with the result.

  3. The treatment time will vary depending on the size of the scar being treated. There is limited down time as the procedure is non-invasive and relatively pain-free.

Areola tattooing

This is where we complete the natural appearance of your areola and nipples through a permanent micro pigment and non-invasive procedure after surgery for many breast conditions.

  1. At the first appointment we discuss what surgery you have had and what may be suitable for you, as well as the final appearance of the areola.

  2. The second visit will be the actual procedure which may take between 1-2 hours depending if we do one or both.

  3. The healing process may take between 2-4 weeks.
